Tokens On The Internet Computer Have Exploded

The Internet Computer has recently had an explosion of legit tokens being released and tradable on Icpswap DEX as well as Sonic Dex. Now what exactly is a token and is there a difference between a token and a coin. The answer is simple, A coin is a native cryptocurrency on a blockchain like Ethereum or in this case, Icp is the coin on the Internet Computer. While Tokens are able to be built on the blockchain with token standards like Erc20 for Ethereum tokens or Dip 20 for Internet Computer tokens. Possibly the project with the biggest buzz has got to be the IC Ghost as the meme coin type appeal to the nft collection as well as a legit meme coin called Ghost token has since exploded in the community and will be very valuable at onboarding new holders from outside of the IC Ecosystem and will show Shiba Inu and Dogecoin fanatics that they have a chance to get into a shiba inu/dogecoin type crypto on the ground floor. They have other tokens that you can add through the canister id of the project but i like to play it safe and only buy tokens officially listed by the Exchange. But if you want to risk it you can also add Donge token onto your Icpswap list. You would need the canister id for the project but i do not recommend this as it adds unneeded risk to an already risky situation as any token can pump to the moon or drop to the ground so just be careful.
